Biden is strong and effective, Trump is dishonest and dangerous

President Biden has been a highly effective leader, in regard to both domestic and foreign affairs.

The domestic policies that the president and the Democratic-majority congress put in place during 2021 and 2022 have produced a strong and resilient economy. Here are the facts:

  • U.S. economic growth in the 3rd quarter was 4.9%, the fastest growth rate in nearly two years.

  • In October, the U.S. economy added 150,000 jobs. This was the 34th consecutive month of significant job growth.

  • Wages in October increased by 4.1% on an annual basis, which exceeded the rate of inflation.

  • Inflation is now at 3.7%, down from the post-pandemic high of 9.1%.

In the area of international relations, President Biden has rebuilt American alliances and reclaimed American leadership. He has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine and of Israel and has strongly advocated for humanitarian aid (food, water, medicine, fuel) to be brought to the Palestinian civilians of Gaza.

In stark contrast, the leader of the Republican party, Donald Trump, is facing 91 criminal charges and has been convicted of multiple civil charges, including defamation and fraudulent business practices.

In regard to foreign policy, Trump is an avowed admirer of Vladimir Putin and other dictators and has persistently undermined America’s most essential alliances.

Despite the clear evidence of Trump’s authoritarian beliefs and illegal actions, he is the leading candidate for the Republican nomination for the presidency of our country. His candidacy is a clear and present danger to the future of our nation.

This is a critical time to have a stable and seasoned hand at the helm. The only way that we the people can preserve our democracy is to make sure that President Biden is re-elected, along with Democratic majorities in the U.S. House and Senate, in 2024.
